Plot

By 2044, the United States has suffered economic collapse, causing severe social decay and growth in organized crime. In addition, a mutation has occurred in ten percent of the population giving them telekinetic powers—the ability to levitate small objects. Thirty years further into the future, in 2074, time travel is invented, but is immediately outlawed. Tracking technology has rendered it nearly impossible to dispose of bodies secretly, so crime bosses use illicit time travel to send those they want killed to the past where they are killed by "loopers": assassins paid with silver bars strapped to the victim. When crime bosses want to end a looper's contract, they send his present self back to be killed by his younger self, referred to as "closing the loop," and in such a case, gold bars are strapped to the looper's own future self instead of silver bars. Failing to close the loop is punished by death.
In 2044, Joe Simmons (Gordon-Levitt) works for a mafia company in Kansas as a looper. His boss Abe (Daniels) was sent from the future to manage the loopers and also owns a club that Joe frequents, and where he spends time with Suzie (Perabo), a showgirl. Abe controls his own group of hired muscle, the "Gat Men", including the overconfident Kid Blue (Segan), who is desperate to prove himself to Abe. One night, Joe's friend Seth (Dano) visits him and tells him that he was supposed to close his own loop, but hesitated. Before Seth's future self escaped, he mentions the Rainmaker, a mastermind who has taken over future organized crime and is closing all loops. Joe attempts to protect Seth, but later chooses to betray him to Abe instead of surrendering half of his silver, which he has secretly been stashing for his retirement. The mafia capture Seth and start mutilating him, knowing that the injuries will be translated to his future self. They scar an address on his arm which he has to go to. Along the way, Old Seth begins losing body parts, and upon arriving at the location he is killed by Kid Blue, closing the loop.
Later, during a contract, Joe hesitates when he recognizes the target is his future self, allowing him to escape. After meeting in a diner, Old Joe (Willis) tells Joe that the Rainmaker sent him back to be killed, and that Old Joe's wife was killed during his capture. Old Joe killed his captors and traveled back to kill the Rainmaker as a child. Joe attempts to kill Old Joe and fulfill his contract, but both of them flee when they are attacked by the Gat Men. Joe tears a scrap off a map from Old Joe's possession, bearing a marked location and a string of digits. Old Joe uses the string of digits to search a database, getting three possible children born on the same day in the same hospital, and he intends to kill all three.
Joe follows the map to a farmhouse owned by Sara (Blunt), who lives with her son Cid. When Joe shows Sara the map, Sara recognizes the digits as Cid's birthday and the serial number of the hospital he was born in, prompting Joe to explain the situation. Joe tells Sara about the Rainmaker and the danger they're in, and offers to stay and protect them, killing Old Joe when he comes around. As Joe and Sara become close, he learns that she is a telekinetic, and that Cid was raised by Sara's sister for most of his life until she was killed. Cid does not believe that Sara is his real mother. One morning, they are attacked by Gat Man Jesse, who is killed when Cid falls down the stairs and lets out a telekinetic blast. His extraordinary telekinetic abilities cause Joe to believe that Cid is the Rainmaker, and Sara confirms that her sister was killed by Cid when he lost control of his powers. Meanwhile, Old Joe is captured by Kid Blue.
Joe tells Sara and Cid to flee, surmising that his employers or Old Joe will target the farm. Meanwhile Old Joe breaks free, killing Abe and all the Gat Men except for Kid Blue, whom Old Joe presumed to be dead. As the two Joes confront each other near Sara's house, Kid Blue attacks and is killed by young Joe. Old Joe escapes during the attack, then finds and attempts to kill Cid, prompting Cid to let out another telekinetic blast. However, before Cid can kill Old Joe, Sara calms him down and assures him by telling him his mother is with him. Old Joe tries to kill Cid again, but Sara stands between them. Joe realizes that if Old Joe kills Sara, it traumatize Cid in a way that will contribute to his becoming the Rainmaker, thus creating a closed time loop. Joe therefore fatally shoots himself with his blunderbuss, erasing Old Joe from existence and saving Sara and Cid.

Final Twilight movie

Final 'Twilight' movie to have different ending from book?

The final instalment in the Twilight film franchise, Breaking Dawn - Part 2, is said to have a different ending from the book.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Twilight author Stephanie Meyer and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg "dreamed up" the new denouement over dinner. Breaking Dawn - Part 2, due in November, is the second of two films based on Meyer's final Twilight novel.

During an interview with the magazine, Twilight star Robert Pattinson admitted that he was initially taken aback by the ending. He recalled: "When I first read the script, I got to that part and was like, 'What?' And then I had to go back a page. It does it a serious justice."

Exact details surrounding the film's final scenes are being kept secret. However, Pattinson's co-star Kristen Stewart also insisted that she is happy with the conclusion of the series. She explained: "It's clearly made by someone who really cares. That's why [director] Bill Condon is perfect. Thank God for him."

Earlier this week (August 9), Condon asked Twilight fans to respect Stewart and Pattinson as they embark on promotional duties for the film. Last month (July 26), it emerged that Stewart had cheated on Pattinson - her boyfriend of over two years as well as her co-star - with movie director Rupert Sanders. She later issued a public apology for her indiscretion.

Meanwhile, a representative for the studio behind Twilight, Summit Entertainment, has confirmed that the release of Breaking Dawn - Part 2 will not be affected by the stars' relationship difficulties. "While it is studio policy not to comment on the personal lives of actors, Summit is moving full steam ahead," the representative said. The final Twilight movie opens in the UK and US on November 16. Plot

Zeus and Poseidon meet at a skyscraper, where Zeus reveals that his master lightning bolt is stolen and accuses Poseidon's demigod son Percy Jackson of the theft. Poseidon reminds him that Percy is unaware of his true identity, but Zeus declares that unless Percy returns the lightning bolt to Mount Olympus before the next summer solstice, war is waged. Percy is a seventeen-year-old teenager who appears to be dyslexic, but has a unique ability to stay underwater for a lengthy time. While on a school trip to the local museum, Percy is attacked by a Fury disguised as his substitute teacher, who demands the lightning bolt. Percy's best friend Grover Underwood and Latin teacher Mr. Brunner, both of whom appear disabled, help Percy and scare off the Fury. Upon learning of the Fury's reason for the attack, Mr. Brunner gives Percy a pen, tells him it is a powerful weapon, and has Grover take Percy and his mother Sally to Camp Half-Blood, leaving behind Sally's lazy husband Gabe Ugliano. However, the three are attacked by a minotaur that appears to kill Sally, who is unable to enter the camp. Grover tells Percy to use the pen, and Percy discovers that it is a sword, which he uses to fight the minotaur, without initial success. Percy kills the minotaur with its own horn then faints from shock.
Three days later, Percy wakes up in the camp. He learns that he is the son of Poseidon, that Grover is a disguised satyr and his protector, and that Mr. Brunner is the centaur Chiron, also initially disguised. Chiron suggests that Percy go to Mount Olympus to convince Zeus of his innocence. Percy begins training to use his demigod powers, which include water manipulation and using water to heal, and meets other demigods including Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena, and Luke Castellan, son of Hermes. After assisting in a team exercise, Percy is visited by a fiery apparition of his uncle Hades, who reveals that Sally is with him in the Underworld and that he will return her safely if Percy hands over the lightning bolt. Defying Chiron's orders, Percy decided to go to the Underworld, joined by Grover and Annabeth. They visit Luke, who gives them a map showing three of Persephone's pearls that they can use to escape the Underworld, an old shield, and a pair of winged sneakers Luke stole from his father.
The trio heads out, locating the first pearl at an old garden center but encountering Medusa, who tries to kill them until decapitated by Percy; her head is taken with them for later use. They locate the second pearl in the Parthenon in Nashville, and Percy uses the winged shoes to take it from a statue of Athena. However, they are then confronted by the Hydra, which Grover petrifies using Medusa's head. The third pearl is located in Las Vegas in the Lotus Casino, where the three eat lotus flowers and forget their reason for being there. They stay in the casino for five days until Percy's dad Poseidon speaks in Percy's mind, helping Percy return to his senses. Percy then frees Grover and Annabeth from the effects of the flowers, and they flee, discovering that the casino is run by the Lotus-Eaters. With all three pearls in their possession, Percy, Grover, and Annabeth head into the Underworld, the portal to which is located in Hollywood.
In the Underworld they meet Hades and his wife Persephone. Though Percy tells Hades that he does not have the lightning bolt, Hades finds it hidden inside Luke's shield, revealing that Luke is the lightning thief. Persephone knocks Hades out with the lightning bolt to get back at him for imprisoning her with him for all eternity and hands the bolt to Percy. However, because they only have three pearls, Grover remains with Persephone to allow Percy's mother to leave. Percy, Annabeth, and Sally teleport to the Empire State Building but are attacked by Luke, who wants to destroy Mount Olympus to secure the demigods' place as the new rulers of the gods. After a fight across Manhattan, Percy defeats Luke and returns the lightning bolt to Zeus, who forgives Percy and allows Poseidon to briefly speak with his son. The film ends with Percy and Annabeth reuniting with Grover, who has grown horns (though only small ones), meaning he is a senior protector, and returning to the camp to continue their training.
In a post-credits scene, Gabe is being kicked out of Sally's house. He finds a note from Percy warning him not to open the fridge. Angrily ignoring it, he opens the fridge only to be petrified by Medusa's head.

Mini Biography
Marshall Bruce Mathers III was born in Missouri, USA. Son of a 15-year-old mother at the time of his birth and a father who left six month later never to return, Marshall spent his early childhood being shoved back and forth from Kansas City and Detroit. He settled on the Eastside of Detroit when he was 12. Switching schools every two to three months made it difficult to make friends, graduate and to stay out of trouble. Being a rap fan for most of his life, Marshall began rapping at the early age of 4. Rhyming words together, battling schoolmates in the lunchroom brought joy to what was otherwise a painful existence.

At the age of 14, he began to get very serious about his rapping but it wasn't until he was 17 that he actually made a name for himself, becoming M& M, which he would later respell as "Eminem". Being rejected by most fellow rappers because of his race, Marshall grew an anger that flows through his music to this day. After failing the 9th grade for three times in a row, he quit school, but remarks that he doesn't consider himself stupid and doesn't advise that people should follow his example. He says that it just wasn't for him. Forcing himself on radio shows, freestyle battles, Marshall threw himself head first into the rap game, where he was swallowed up most of the time. His very first album was titled "Infinite" and, while the album sold less than a thousand copies, it was the gearing up stages for the rapper who became a millionaire. It was then that his daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, was born on December 25th of 1995 with long time girlfriend Kim Scott. Having nothing to lose at all, flat broke and not knowing where he would be living the next week, Marshall set out to rant about life in general, the set quickly caught the ear of hip-hop's difficult-to-please underground. What came out of this was the Slim Shady EP, the early work for the later Dr. Dre revised Slim Shady LP. Down to nearly his last dime, he went into the 1997 Rap Olympics in Los Angeles, basically hoping to win the $1,500 cash price which he badly needed. After battling for an hour and throwing back every race diss thrown at him, Marshall made it to second place losing in a slip up. Furious that he had lost, Marshall didn't even notice that he had been spotted. In the crowd were a few producers from Interscope, and they were handed a copy of the "Infinite" tape by way of a demo. Dr. Dre got to hear it and eventually tracked him down. The two instantly hit it off, recording four songs in the their first six hours of working - three which made it to his first LP. After the album was finished, Dr. Dre asked Marshall to come work with him on his new album. He helped produce several tracks and was on the best songs of the album.

Now officially making it, Marshall and Dre set to make his second LP. The album became the Marshall Mathers LP and won 3 Grammies and was the first rap album ever to be nominated "Album of the Year", selling more than 8 million records in the United States alone. He also stunned critics when he shot down all homophobic remarks by performing "Stan" with Elton John. Currently working on his third LP, Em has made a movie, 8 Mile (2002), and has gone back and brought his friend with him; D-12. Though 2001 was a rough year for the rapper, being charged with weapon offenses, divorcing his wife, and almost going to prison, Marshall explains his life today in one word. "Claimer".

greyson chance

At just 15 years-old, Greyson Chance has accomplished more than many musicians can hope for in their careers; two successful North American tours, performing at the White House, national television appearances on “Good Morning America,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” “CBS Early Show,” and, most recently, the release of his debut album Hold On ‘Til The Night from eleveneleven/Maverick/Streamline/Geffen.
Much of Chance’s celebrity began with a fortuitous YouTube post of a performance by the stage-ready 6th grader for his fellow students of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi,” but the whirlwind of expsoure and international opportunities that ensued for this Edmond, Oklahoma native have been such that can only be earned by his sheer talent: “Chance’s gripping falsetto and seasoned vocal style bellie his age…” (US Weekly).
Now, with a critically-acclaimed debut album, which boasts a debut single “Waiting Outside the Lines,” that sold over 160 thousand copies to date and was the #1 physical single in the country for four straight weeks; topping media lists for young talent to keep an eye on; and a recent stint acting on the hit primetime FOX Television show Raising Hope, which he hopes to parlay into exploring acting further, Chance has become a household name.
The now infamous performance of “Paparazzi” in April 2010 went on to become YouTube’s #3 most popular video of 2010 and has received nearly 45 million views to date. Catching the eye of a producer at “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,”  led to Chance’s first guest appearance and a fateful return a week later, where DeGeneres announced that she had signed Greyson as the first artist on her newly formed label, eleveneleven.  The rest – as they say – is history.  Chance has now appeared on “Ellen” eight times, which includes debuts of his singles “Waiting Outside the Lines” and “Unfriend You;” toured North America with fellow teens iCarly’s Miranda Cosgrove, pop star Cody Simpson and Big Time Rush; and most recently, performed for the Campaign for Human Rights with President Obama in attendance in November and at Variety’s Power of Youth benefit.  Chance will be honored in Pop Star Magazine’s ’12 in 12’ issue in January 2012.
Of his live performance, The Washington Post says “catching Chance [perform] at this stage in his career is akin to watching a thoroughbred of impeccable breeding gallop as a yearling. He doesn’t have his legs under him yet, and stumbles are possible, but the raw materials are such that it’s hard to bet against him running with the big boys in a few years.”
“Without Ellen, none of this would have happened. She's been so supportive of me and my music from the very beginning, and has also become an amazing friend!” says Chance.
The release of his debut Hold On ‘Til The Night was recorded in Los Angeles with famed producers such as The Matrix (Christina Aguilera, Avril Lavigne, Jason Mraz, Britney Spears) and Billy Steinberg (Enrique Iglesias, Katherine McPhee, Miranda Cosgrove).  Unlike many teen artists, Chance took on much of the writing:  "Writing and recording this album has been such a fun and exciting journey!” said Chance. “I've put so much hard work into it and I am so glad to have music out there for my fans. It's about overcoming fears but always powering through, and I think it's a message my fans really relate to.”  Entertainment Weekly says, “Chance reveals a surprisingly mature voice.”
The album, which Rolling Stone magazine called a “potential blockbuster of a debut,” not only showcases Chance’s talents as a songwriter, vocalist and piano player but also his wide range of influences.  From the empowerment ballad “Waiting Outside the Lines” to the light-hearted up tempo “Little London Girl,” Hold On ‘Til The Night takes the listener on a journey of teenage love and heartbreak complete with undeniably catchy hooks and Chance’s signature powerful vocals.
“This prodigy makes an impressive debut that owes as much to Coldplay as Bieber,” said People Magazine.
Looking forward to more exciting projects for fans in 2012, Chance  is currently in the studio working on writing and recording more music and plans to make more television appearances.

The latest One Direction girlfriends revelation has stoked up lots of posts on social media everywhere. Lucy, who is 32 years old has received a tirade of abuse from Harry's hardcore fans. One Direction girlfriends will also not be too pleased as this sort of news can cause many anxieties.

Lucy twittered on the social-networking site : "'To clarify, I haven't said ANYTHING to any press, nor do I wish to. Thank you to those of you who have said kind words today. Xxx."

A former colleague of hers said: ‘Apparently Lucy and Harry hit it off from the moment the boys walked into the studio – it was electric and they were flirting like crazy.

‘Lucy made it very clear she fancied him and there was a lot of banter between the two of them both on and off air. It got a little risque.

‘She is a really fun girl with loads of personality and she’s not at all shy about coming forward and making sure she gets what she wants.

‘People knew that Lucy’s marriage was in a strange place at the time and obviously the attraction between her and Harry was mutual.

‘She looks just like George Clooney’s ex, Lisa Snowdon, and that sophisticated “older woman” look obviously appeals to Harry.’ This is probably related to his previous affair with older woman Caroline Flack.

Horobin and Styles met secretly at a hotel in Manchester, where they reportedly spent a night together. It is understood they met again in December – after Styles had started dating Miss Caroline Flack – when One Direction returned to the city for another concert.

Horobin has since changed her job and now works at Heart South Coast FM’s studios in Fareham, Hants. She has not returned to work since the news was revealed. Co-host Jason King explained her absence to listeners by saying: "Over the weekend you may have picked something up in the newsagents and read something which may have shocked you.

“I’d like to confirm the rumours are true and she has taken time off — to read Fifty Shades of Grey (a best-selling saucy novel) and tell us all about it tomorrow.” See details of Fifty Shades Of Grey PDF book here. Bosses have refused to say when she will return.

There have been a number of stories regarding One Direction girlfriends as would be expected from a hugely successful group. See One Direction girlfriends Zayn Malik & Perrie Edwards (Little Mix) kiss revealed at long last!

The Believe Tour (advertised as Justin Bieber Live) is the second concert tour by the Canadian recording artist Justin Bieber, launched in support of his second studio album, Believe.[1] Beginning in September 2012, the tour is expected to play over 80 shows in North America, Europe and Asia.

Background

The tour was announced on May 23, 2012, during Bieber's appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.[1] Dates were revealed for shows in the United States and Canada later in the day. Bieber stated the tour would be the biggest show on Earth. Shows in the United Kingdom were reported in July 2012[2], with the tour expected to reach Asia, Australasia, South America, along with South Africa and the Middle East sometime in 2013.[3]
Recruited for the tour was film director Jon M. Chu (serving as creative and show director), choreographer Nick DeMoura and lighting designer Chris Kuroda.[4] Chu stated the tour will be like going on a ‪Disneyland‬ ride, with a cinematic score playing as spectators enter the venue. Additionally, David Blaine was brought on to create various special effects and stunts for the show.[5] The show will draw inspiration from Michael Jackson's numerous performances.[4] In an interview with USA Today, Bieber stated he watched Jackson's tour performances on YouTube for inspiration. Many elements of the production are influenced by Jackson's Off the Wall and "Thriller albums.
Rehearsals began in late July 2012 at the Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, California.[6] Bieber and crew would conduct 10-hour rehearsal days. Bieber states he has a lot to prove with this tour. He continues to say he feels like an underdog with many doubting the longevity of his career.[4] The tour is his opportunity to take things to the next level.
The tour was an early success in the United States, with many dates selling out in one hour.[7] The show at Madison Square Garden is believed to have sold out within 30 seconds. In August, the signer conducted an online search for dancers on the tour.[8] Contestants were to submit videos via YouTube to be entered into the competition.
The tour kicked off in Glendale, Arizona at the Jobing.com Arena. The premiere made headlines for Bieber feeling ill during the show. His performances of "Out of Town Girl" and "Beauty and a Beat" were interrupted as the singer vomited on and off stage.[9] Bieber remarked to the audience: "It's hard for me, you know, not feeling great and throwing up in front of a bunch of people. Will you love me even though I'm throwing up on stage? OK, I wanted to give you my best show ever, so do you mind if I finish it"? The singer later stated milk was the reason for his illness.
The tour faced further troubles during the concert at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington. Following the show, Bieber tweeted his personal laptop and camera were stolen during the show.[10] Many fans lashed out against the arena while others believed the incident was a hoax. Three days following the show, Vevo premiered the video for the signer's third single with an opening message: "In October of 2012, three hours of personal footage was stolen from musician Justin Bieber. The following footage was illegally uploaded by an anonymous blogger". Many media outlets reported the theft was a hoax to promote the music video. However, the signer's management still affirm property was stolen.[11]

to make a sphagetti

  1. Prepare the spaghetti as desired. Choose which kind of noodles, toppings, and sauces you want.
  2. 2
Strain the spaghetti and put it to one side. Allowing it to cool just a little is important to ensure that it isn't too moist or warm for the taco.
  3. 3
Make the sauce and heat it up. The sauce shown in the image is "Make Spaghetti Bolognese With a Twist" bolognese sauce.(note: If making your own sauce, reduce the water ratio as much as possible in order to prevent it from being too runny)
  4. 4
Mix the sauce with the pasta. You'll want the spaghetti to soak up the flavor of the sauce, so it's easiest if done in a small bowl for each serving. Doing it this way can ensure a good consistency for each taco.(note: If necessary, you might consider straining meat sauce through a strainer or cheesecloth before mixing with the spaghetti noodles. For runny sauce this will help to cut down on the liquid.)
  5. 5
Spoon the prepared spaghetti into the taco shells. Use a high-sided pan to put them into and keep them upright as you work through all of the tacos you're filling.
  6. 6
After filling the tacos, sprinkle on the prepared peppers or parsley to taste.
After filling the tacos, sprinkle on the prepared peppers or parsley to taste.
After filling the tacos, sprinkle on the prepared peppers or parsley to taste. Cheese is another good topping. If you want to melt the cheese, place the filled taco shells into the oven to crisp for 5 minutes, then remove and allow to cool for 1 minute prior to eating.
  7. 7
    Finished.

Tips

  • Don't forget to clean your cooking area, and put away everything you used.
  • Experiment with different types of noodles and sauces; if you don't have spaghetti noodles, angel hair pasta, or whatever you usually use, try using farfelle or penne.
  • Try fresh corn tortillas for your shells. The delicate corn flavor of a homemade shell is a much better complement than store-bought shells.

Tips

  • If you use frozen berries, it helps to sprinkle 3 tablespoons of corn starch in pie crust/pan just before you add the blueberries!  That helps to suck up any additional liquid, so the pie won't be runny.
  • Making a Blueberry pie for Passover:
A visitor writes on March 24, 2012: "I'm going to bake it for this year's big Passover feast on April 6 (2012). Because of Passover's restrictions against using wheat and corn, I can't use either flour or cornstarch or graham crackers.
I'll use potato starch instead of corn starch, and will use Passover matzoh cake meal (very, very, finely ground matzoh) instead of flour.
For the crust, I'm going to try using Passover macaroons. Maybe coconut macaroons smashed up and then mixed with coconut oil instead of butter. (Passover has no restriction against using butter, but I've been substituting coconut oil instead of butter in all my daily cooking year round, just for nutritional health reasons.) I'm thinking it will be delicious.

how to make pie bluberry

Ingredients and Equipment
(per 9 inch deep dish pie)

  • 3 to 4 cups of Blueberries - fresh or frozen (without syrup) (3 cups if you like a thin pie, 4 cups if you like it a little higher!)
  • 7 Tablespoons corn starch (for those of you in the British Isles, you know it as "corn flour").  You may also use an equivalent amount of flaked tapioca instead - the tapioca balls don't dissolve well.
  • 3 Tablespoons water (or grape juice)
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • One 9 inch pie crust (see this page for the world's easiest flour pie crust recipe and directions!) OR.. if you are like me, you'll DEFINITELY prefer a graham cracker pie crust (again, in England, this would be made from "Digestive" biscuits!) - if you haven't tried the graham cracker crust - I highly recommend it.
  • Spices:
    1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • One 9 inch deep-dish Pie Plate - (grocery stores sell both disposable pie pans and glass pans. Get the deep type!
  • Sweetener:
    • 2/3 cup granulated (ordinary table) Sugar
      OR
    • 1/3 cup sugar and 1/3 cup Stevia, my preference (or if you prefer, Splenda) (Stevia, my preference (or if you prefer, Splenda) works in pie recipes, but not by itself.  The pie turns out heavy and with much less flavor).

And now, choose the topping you prefer:

  • Crumb topping (my preference, again):
    • 1/4 cup sugar (OR 1/8 cup sugar and 1/8 cup Stevia, my preference (or if you prefer, Splenda))
    • 1/2 cup flour
    • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • Dough topping:
See the pie crust recipe and double it to make extra to roll out as a topping to cover the pie.

Step 1  - Make the pie crust

Never made a crust, either?  Fear  not, they are really simple.  Click here for instructions about making a flour pie crust. It will open in a new window, so just close the new window to return here. I prefer blueberry pie in a graham cracker crust; click on the link for directions. .Now is also a good time to get the oven preheating to 375 F.

Step 2- Wash the blueberries

BlueberriesJust rinse them in a colander or sieve in cold water, no soap.
Pick out and remove any bits of stems, leaves and soft or mushy berries. It is easiest to do this in a large bowl of water and gently run your hands through the berries as they float.  With your fingers slightly apart, you will easily feel any soft or mushy berries get caught in your fingers.

Step 3 - Mix the dry filling ingredients.

Combine the 2/3 cup sugar (or sugar/Stevia, my preference (or if you prefer, Splenda) blend), 7 Tablespoons of corn starch in a bowl  and mix well!  Some people like 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and/or 1/4 teaspoon of allspice, mixed in, also. That's optional, but it is nice!

Step 4  - Mix in the liquids

Add the 2 Tablespoons of lemon juice, and 3 Tablespoons of water (or grape juice) and stir it up. If you use Stevia, my preference (or if you prefer, Splenda), it will be pretty gloppy, rather than drier crumbs, but it still works the same!

Step 5 - Add the blueberries to the pie crust

Add the blueberries to the pie crust.  Just pour them in!  There's lots of air space and it will cook down, so don't worry if they mound up about an inch (2.5 cm) above the edge of the plate.

Step 6 - Pour the liquid mix into the pie

Just pour the mixture of sugar, juice, etc. into the pie all over the blueberries. If it is a gloppy liquid, don’t worry, just pour it somewhat evenly over the top. But it doesn’t take perfection; it will smooth itself out in the oven.

Step 7 - Make and add your topping

If you want the crumb topping, just mix  - 1/4 cup sugar (OR 1/8 cup sugar and 1/8 cup Stevia, my preference (or if you prefer, Splenda))
- 1/2 cup flour
 - 1/4 cup butter or margarine
together in a small bowl and sprinkle it over the pie.
If you want to the dough topping instead, roll out a circular section of dough that you made in step 1, to 1/8 inch thick, then place it over the pie.  Seal it against the edges with the pie crust, and make decorative slits with a knife.

Step 8 - Put the pie in the oven!

Cook the pie at 375 F (or 190 Celsius) for 1 hour.

Step 9 - Remove when the pie is golden and pie is bubbling

Check to see if it is bubbling and crust is golden brown. If if not, check every 3 or 4 minutes until it is.

Step 10 - Enjoy!

Set the pie on a rack to cool and enjoy! Here is a slice of the finished pie! Serve warm with ice cream.  Refrigerate after it is cooled. It easily lasts a week in the fridge (that is, if there is no one there to eat it. Most of the time, people eat it all within a day!)

As Cruel as School Children (2006–2007)

In May 2006, WXSS, a radio station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, began playing "Cupid's Chokehold" shortly before the release of the band's second full length album, As Cruel as School Children. The group's manager, Scott Nagelberg stated "As more stations added it, it became undeniable: This was the chance for this band to make it happen."[7] Although the band intended to promote a different song, "The Queen and I" as the album's lead single, the label shifted its focus to "Cupid's Chokehold". The group became frustrated with its association with the song after its scheduled performance of "The Queen and I" on Jimmy Kimmel Live! was changed to "Cupid's Chokehold" last minute.[7] However, McGinley later stated, "Eventually, we saw the rationale. It's a little awkward, but it's still Gym Class Heroes. At the end of the day, it's a good song we all believe in, so we're happy it's getting a lot of attention."[7] It became the band's most successful single, peaking at number four on the Billboard Hot 100.[4]
On July 25, 2006, Gym Class Heroes released As Cruel as School Children. The record contained guest appearances by Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy and William Beckett from The Academy Is.... The album marked a departure in the band's sound, with the band utilizing drum machines and synthesizers as opposed to the band's typical live instrumentation. The band also gained popularity when McCoy was featured in the Cobra Starship song Snakes on a Plane (Bring It), which was featured on the soundtrack to the film.

The Quilt (2008)

Gym Class Heroes performing at Warped Tour on June 20, 2008.
After headlining a seven-week U.S. tour called the "Daryl Hall for President Tour '07", the group returned to the studio to record new material. The resulting material became The Quilt, which was released on September 9, 2008. The album featured numerous collaborations with other artists, including Daryl Hall (from Hall & Oates), The-Dream, Estelle, and Busta Rhymes. Guitarist Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo said of the album, "I would definitely say that this is the most collaborative album I've played on with the band. I remember the very first day we started jamming out and working on the songs. I thought, Man, I haven't felt like this since I was in high school jamming out in a garage. So it's kind of cool, 'cause it was that same feeling, except we were recording for a major album."[2]
Gym Class Heroes co-headlined the 2008 Warped Tour along with Fueled by Ramen label mates Paramore.[8] While the band was performing onstage at the festival on July 2, 2008, Travie McCoy was arrested after hitting a man on the head with his microphone. The man had been in the crowd at a concert in St. Louis when he shouted racial slurs at McCoy.[9] McCoy asked the man, "What did you just call me?" As security was removing the man from the venue, McCoy brought the man on stage to call him out in front of the crowd. In a statement, McCoy's publicist said that the man hit McCoy's knee, which was in a brace after he had suffered a recent strain.[9]

Side projects (2009–2011)

Travie McCoy has pursued a solo career. In 2010, he released a hit single "Billionaire" with Bruno Mars, which has been successful since its UK release in early May 2010 and also featured in Taio Cruz's single "Higher". He released his first solo album, Lazarus, on June 8, 2010. Lumumba-Kasongo created the side-project Soul in 2008, which he has currently been focusing on during Gym Class Heroes' break. The songs "Live a Little" and "No Place Left to Run" from The Quilt were originally intended to be used strictly for his side project, but McCoy heard the songs and convinced Lumumba-Kasongo to let Gym Class Heroes use the songs.[6] McGinley has been drumming in the rock group Kill the Frontman.[10]

The Papercut Chronicles II (2011-present)

McCoy had discussed the band's new album, The Papercut Chronicles II, "We're about 12 demos deep. All I got to say is it's definitely going back to the essence of Gym Class Heroes, which is four dudes sitting in a room, vibing off each other and making organic, dark metal."[11]
On June 9, 2011, Gym Class Heroes released a song entitled "Stereo Hearts" which features Adam Levine from Maroon 5. It is the first single to be released from The Papercut Chronicles II. It became available for download on iTunes on June 14, 2011. It peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
On October 18, 2011, Gym Class Heroes released a song entitled "Life Goes On" which features Oh Land. It is the first promotional single to be released from The Papercut Chronicles II.
On November 1, 2011, Gym Class Heroes released their second single of the album, "Ass Back Home", featuring Neon Hitch via iTunes.[12]
The full album was released on November 15, 2011.
On November 20, 2011, Gym Class Heroes performed "Stereo Hearts" with Adam Levine on the American Music Awards of 2011.
The third single "The Fighter" features Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic and was released on May 24, 2012.
The video for the fourth single, Martyrial Girl$, premiered on Fueled By Ramen's YouTube channel on August 27, 2012.

Musical style and influences

Gym Class Heroes is noted for displaying hip-hop influences while performing alongside artists who are mainly considered to be rock, pop-punk, and metal bands. McCoy says of the band's musical style, "We've been the proverbial sore thumb our entire career. Even before we got signed to Fueled by Ramen, we were playing shows with death metal and hardcore bands and whoever would let us play with them. I wouldn't even consider us a hip-hop band. Musically, it's just all over the place."[2]
The band acknowledges '80s funk-influenced R&B acts such as Prince and Ready for the World as major influences on its sound.[13] Each member draws from different types of music for inspiration, with drummer Matt McGinley saying "there aren’t many [types of music] we agree on."[1] McCoy cites 1970s blue-eyed soul group Hall & Oates as his biggest musical influence.[14] Guitarist Disashi Lumumbo-Kasanga is mainly influenced by rock music, citing Jimi Hendrix and Muse as an inspiration for his guitar playing.[1][15] Bassist Eric Roberts incorporates elements of reggae into his playing, as well as styles influenced by metal bands such as the Dillinger Escape Plan and Meshuggah.[15] McGinley favors funk and rock stylistics inspired by groups such as Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and 311.[1]
Additionally, the band is noted for not using samples in its music, a practice commonly used in hip-hop. McCoy states that "It’s more fun and organic in the live show. There’s definitely a lot of acts that can pull off a DJ/MC thing but then a lot that can’t. Also I guess it’s all we know."[1] However, As Cruel as School Children does contain samples, with McGinley commenting, "We’ve always been a band and we never did sampling at all before but within the last couple of years we’ve embraced it more. In the songs we did with Patrick Stump we used it."[1]
